Sailor's Home
-
Is the Sailor’s Home always full? When is the best time to make a reservation?
During seasons when there are board examinations or heavy influx of homecoming seafarer’s (September to December) these are the times when the Sailor’s Home is usually full and with long reservations requested on record. The Sailor’s Home usually has vacancies during Holy Week and the Christmas season. In any case, it is best to make a reservation at least two weeks before you intended stay.
-
Is the use of the Sailor’s Home free or are there extra costs I should pay for?
Sailor’s Home and its benefits are free-of-charge to active bona fide members of the AMOSUP.
-
Can my dependents use the Sailor’s Home?
Our present facilities only allow for male and female members to use the Sailor’s Home. However, a joint project of JSU and AMOSUP, the Mariner’s Home, has family room facilities for members and their dependents. Both Mariner’s Home and Mariner’s Home Annex in Malate have family room accommodations. For more information, please call (+632) 521-5180 or (+632) 400-0461.
-
Am I allowed to bring my friends or dependents to use the entertainment facilities of the Sailor’s Home while I am an occupant?
Yes, guests are allowed into the Home from 0800 to 1700 hours. They can stay at the ground floor only and use entertainment facilities under your supervision provided no member occupant is using them. The sleeping quarters are strictly for occupants only.
