The ground breaking of the Center for Advanced Maritime Studies was held last September 9, 2010 at the AJSU-IMMAJ Campus (West Campus).
In response to the Principals’ need for senior officers to fill high level positions ashore and at the same time provide career advancement for management level officers working aboardship, the Center for Advanced Maritime Studies is established to answer the call for the continuing innovative Maritime Education and Training efforts for professional development and for training of the senior officers (age 40-55 years old) so they can progress in their careers through higher-level studies and training.
